Tupac asks his readers if they have heard of the rose that grew from a crack in concrete. By keeping its dreams he says , it learned to breathe fresh air.
He wishes a long life to the rose that grew from concrete, even though it seemed no one else even cared.
This tribute we offer to an Trayvon Martin and his family. It seems that although he grew in harsh surroundings and flourished in spite of the obstacles against him, his budding and blossoming was cut short due to no fault of his own. There are those in this world who do care and are cheering for those like Trayvon to succeed. …May his life and death provide us even greater stamina to widen that crack in the concrete so that the very existence of a young person of color need not be such a never-ending path of obstruction. These young people as all struggling young people need to know they are worthy and valued members of humanity ; may this experience help us to grow in compassion, open-mindedness, and understanding.
