Tuesday Oct 5th – Wrongful Conviction Day

Innocence Project

As one of the Central Park Five, I was wrongfully convicted and incarcerated as a teenager for a horrible crime I did not commit. I was finally exonerated in 2002.

After all these years, that experience has never left me. Even though I’m free, I can’t and I won’t forget about all the other innocent people who are still fighting for justice. I’m committed to using my story to educate the public about the flaws of the criminal justice system and the need for state by state reform.

Next Tuesday is the 5th annual Wrongful Conviction Day — a day to call attention to all the innocent people who are still seeking their freedom. That’s why I’m asking for your help. No innocent person should ever be in prison.
